In Esteli, the school is located between street 5ta and 6ta SE, in front of the Panamerican Highway. It is ½ block south of the Bodegas de Enabas.
What clothes do I need to bring?
You should pack based on the season. Summer (verano) runs from November to April, and it is dry and warmer. There is little to no rain in Summer. Winter (invierno) runs from May until October, and it rains daily. In Granada, the weather is warm year round. You should pack for tropical weather. We suggest bringing insect repellant and sunscreen from home, as the latter is quite expensive here and the former is hard to find. In Esteli, the climate is quite temperate, akin to San Diego.

Why study abroad?
At CENAC, we are firm believers that the best way to learn a language is in the country where it’s spoken. Studying abroad allows students to immediately practice what they have learned in the classroom, helping to reinforce the learning process and most importantly, to place the language in the right cultural context. And to top it all off, it’s a lot of fun.
Do teachers speak English during the lessons?
Very rarely, because the most effective way to learn or improve your language skills is through complete immersion in the language. However, the occasional explanation or vocabulary term may be explained in English.
Do I need to pack an umbrella?
You may bring one, but you can buy umbrellas in the town for a few dollars (about 3 dollars) as well.
